AlpineSIM eSIM review

4.7

The short answer. AlpineSIM sells prepaid travel eSIM plans in 203 countries, and its cheapest rate today is $0.37 per GB. Its median rate of $2.14 per GB is about 24% below the $2.83 median across every plan we track. On price it is a reasonable default, and the country page for your destination will still show you whether someone there beats it.

Have we checked these prices?

87% of AlpineSIM's plans on this site were checked against AlpineSIM's own shop on 16 October 2026, one country page at a time. We confirm the product is on sale and that the price is the one they charge, and we take their price over ours whenever the two disagree.

A feed is not a shop. Feeds can list products that are not on sale, describe them differently, or carry a stale price, so a price nobody has checked again is only a number we copied.

AlpineSIM did not pay for this review or this rating. The rating is computed from live catalogue data and cannot be bought. If you buy through a link on this page we may earn a commission, and the price you pay stays exactly the same.

About AlpineSIM

Who is AlpineSIM?

AlpineSIM is a Zurich based travel eSIM shop selling data plans for 217+ destinations, plus VPN plans on the side. Swiss law governs its terms and its base of operations is Zurich, though no legal company name or registered address is published anywhere on the site.

The experience is deliberately minimal: no app and no account, just a Shopify checkout, a QR code by email within about 30 seconds, and order and usage pages reached through email links. Both fixed data plans and daily unlimited bundles are sold, and in our tables its pricing lands consistently in the cheapest tier for a wide range of countries.

It is an unproven name: no Trustpilot profile exists at all, and corporate transparency is thin for a brand selling on Swiss trust. Refunds are handled case by case, validity starts at first connection to a partner network, and one hard rule stands out: the service is prohibited in the UAE, where use can be cancelled without refund.

Is there an AlpineSIM discount code?

Not one we can vouch for right now. We only publish an AlpineSIM promo code after testing it at AlpineSIM's own checkout, and most codes on coupon sites are expired or never worked. If a working discount code appears it will be listed here, and it will never change where AlpineSIM ranks in our tables.

Too early for a verdict on AlpineSIM

We found no verified customer reviews on Trustpilot yet, so reputation cannot influence this rating. Until a track record builds, here is what to check yourself:

Check before you buy

  • Do not buy for the UAE: service there is prohibited and can be cancelled without refund
  • Some plans forfeit without refund if not activated within their activation window
  • Deleted or factory reset eSIMs may not be reinstallable and replacement is not guaranteed
  • Unlimited plans inherit carrier fair use and throttling rules even when not shown
  • Liability is capped at the plan price or 50 francs

Questions

AlpineSIM eSIM FAQ

What people ask before they buy an AlpineSIM eSIM, answered from live data

Is AlpineSIM legit?

AlpineSIM is a real seller with 10293 live plans in our catalogue covering 203 countries, and every one of those prices is checked again at each catalogue refresh. 87% of those plans were checked against AlpineSIM's own shop on 16 October 2026, so the prices here are the ones a buyer sees. Our own rating of 4.7 out of 5 is computed from prices and coverage and cannot be bought.

How much does an AlpineSIM eSIM cost?

AlpineSIM plans run from $0.28 to $4,983.63. Ranked by real price per GB the best rate is 40 GB for 15 Days at $14.82, which is $0.37 per GB. Across the whole catalogue the median is $2.14 per GB against a market median of $2.83, so a typical AlpineSIM plan is cheaper than the market.

Does AlpineSIM have a discount code?

Not one we can vouch for. We only publish AlpineSIM promo codes that we have tested at its checkout, and there is no working code right now. Most codes on coupon sites are expired, so check the total on the payment page before you count on a discount.

Which countries does AlpineSIM cover?

203 countries in our catalogue. The cheapest AlpineSIM destinations by price per GB right now are Malaysia ($0.37), Thailand ($0.38), Turkey ($0.44). Every country in the table on this page links to its full comparison, where AlpineSIM is ranked against every other provider we track.

Can I use an AlpineSIM eSIM as a hotspot?

Allowed in most countries. Plans where a carrier disallows it are marked.

Does AlpineSIM sell unlimited data plans?

8712 of its 10293 plans are sold as unlimited. In practice they are fair use plans: full speed up to a daily allowance, then slower. That is why they carry no price per GB in our tables.

How do I install an AlpineSIM eSIM?

QR code or universal activation link by email, about 30 seconds after checkout. No account or app. Buy the plan online, scan the QR code on wifi before you fly, and leave the new line switched off until you land. Then turn on data roaming for the AlpineSIM line and give it a minute to attach to a network. If the code will not install, our guide to eSIM QR code errors covers every message a phone can show.
