Read this before you buy from Cellesim

Cellesim's pages carry customer numbers and refund promises that its own terms and its age do not support, and nearly every price is shown against a struck through higher one. None of this means the eSIMs do not work, and the prices in our tables are the ones the feed and the site show.

  • The About page says over 50,000 customers and 100+ activations a day. The domain was registered on 27 October 2025, the iOS app was released on 21 February 2026 and has 3 ratings, and Google Play shows 5K+ downloads. We found nothing that supports the customer figure.
  • Refunds are promised four different ways. The Turkey page says Refund 24 hours, Full money back; a feature line says a 30 day refund; the FAQ says used plans get a prorated refund; the terms say you waive the cooling off period once the QR code is delivered and a refund is issued only for a technical failure caused by Cellesim that support cannot fix.
  • Of the 2,566 plans in the feed, 2,303 carry a higher struck through price, so the discount you see on the site is the everyday price, not a sale.
  • Who you are paying is Cellesim, LLC, with no registration number published. The only address is 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, Delaware, which is a suite address rather than a described office, and the terms call Cellesim a reseller of the underlying networks.
  • Their feed marked 721 plans as covering SMS while the FAQ said data only. We asked, and Cellesim confirmed every plan is data only: the flag came from the carrier profile, no plan carries a phone number, and they are correcting the feed.
  • Support is promised as 24/7 with replies within an hour and in 31 languages. No support hours or staffing are published, and the live chat needs an account.

How Cellesim works, in detail

Activation
No account needed to buy per the Turkey page. The QR code arrives by email straight after payment, or the app installs the profile on the phone it runs on. The terms say the eSIM must be installed and activated within the stated window, usually 6 months from purchase.
Plan type
The FAQ says plans are data only and that calls go over WhatsApp, FaceTime or any VoIP app, and your own number stays on your physical SIM. The feed marks 721 plans as covering SMS, which the site does not explain.
Validity clock
When the eSIM first connects to a network in the destination, not at purchase or install, per the terms and the FAQ. Unlimited plans are a daily full speed allowance of 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 GB after which speed drops to 384 kbps to 2 Mbps depending on the plan, per the feed.
Hotspot sharing
Yes per the FAQ and country pages: personal hotspot works to share data with tablets, laptops or another phone.
5G access
Country pages show the highest generation per operator, for example Turkcell, Vodafone and Türk Telekom all marked 5G for Turkey, with a note that some plans may use a fallback band. Not stated per plan.
