eSIMfly eSIM review

4.9

The short answer. eSIMfly sells prepaid travel eSIM plans in 182 countries, and its cheapest rate today is $0.44 per GB. Its median rate of $2.41 per GB is about 15% below the $2.83 median across every plan we track. On price it is a reasonable default, and the country page for your destination will still show you whether someone there beats it.

Have we checked these prices?

97% of eSIMfly's plans on this site were checked against eSIMfly's own shop on 16 October 2026, one country page at a time. We confirm the product is on sale and that the price is the one they charge, and we take their price over ours whenever the two disagree.

A feed is not a shop. Feeds can list products that are not on sale, describe them differently, or carry a stale price, so a price nobody has checked again is only a number we copied.

eSIMfly did not pay for this review or this rating. The rating is computed from live catalogue data and cannot be bought. If you buy through a link on this page we may earn a commission, and the price you pay stays exactly the same.

About eSIMfly

Who is eSIMfly?

eSIMfly is a travel eSIM reseller trading since 2024 under the Dubai company Asteralink L.L.C-FZ, with separate selling entities for the European Union, Iraq and its app listings, which it says exist to offer local payment methods and meet local rules. It sells fixed and unlimited plans in about 175 of the countries we track plus nine regional and global bundles, with a website, an iOS and Android app and a wholesale API for other resellers.

Read this before you buy from eSIMfly

eSIMfly resells other wholesalers' plans under four different company names, and its own numbers do not line up: the About page claims half a million travellers and a 4.9 App Store rating against three ratings on the store itself, and its unlimited plans are capped in a way its own site and its own data feed describe differently. None of this means the eSIMs do not work, and the prices in our tables are the ones its site charges.

  • Unlimited means 3 GB a day at full speed, then 1 Mbps until the allowance resets. eSIMfly confirmed that figure to us on 7 September 2026. Their own plan cards do not all say so: the note is generated from whichever supplier is behind the plan, so about a quarter of the unlimited plans we see still tell buyers speed drops to 5 Mbps after 1 GB a day, and others quote 2 Mbps after 2 GB. We list these as unlimited with no daily figure until their site says one thing.
  • The About page says 500,000+ travellers and a 4.9 App Store rating. The App Store listing shows 5.0 from 3 ratings, Google Play shows 1,000+ downloads, their own reviews page says 4.7 from 180 verified reviews and Trustpilot shows 4.3 from 38 reviews. Nothing we can check supports the headline figures.
  • Who you are paying depends on where you are. Their footer names three sellers: ESIMFLY DIGITAL SERVICES, S.L. of Estepona in Spain for the EU, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland; Asteralink L.L.C-FZ of Dubai for the rest of the world; and Steralink of Duhok in Iraq for local Iraqi payments. The App Store lists a fourth, a Turkish company, and the brand is a trademark of the Dubai company. eSIMfly says the structure exists to offer local payment methods, avoid currency conversion fees and meet local rules, which is a fair reason. It still pays to check the name on your receipt, because that company is the one whose consumer law and refund process applies to you.
  • Most of what they sell is their own product. Their data names a supplier for every plan, and in the countries we sampled about four in five plans are eSIMfly's own, with the rest bought in from named wholesalers. Of the 2,128 eSIMfly plans we list, 158 carry a wholesale code that also appears under other sellers on this site, so on those specific plans you are comparing the identical product.
  • The refund policy covers unactivated eSIMs within 30 days. Once the eSIM is activated there is no refund for unused data.
  • Top ups work on their own network plans, including unlimited: data or days can be added to the eSIM you already have. Their premium operator plans, the ones from carriers such as Orange and Bouygues that include calls and texts, cannot be topped up and need a new package when they expire.

We list eSIMfly because its prices are real and its plans rank on the same maths as everyone else's. We publish what we could not verify so you can decide with the facts in front of you.

Technical details

How eSIMfly works, in detail

Activation
Guest checkout on the site or purchase in the app. The QR code arrives by email straight after payment and the plan activates when the eSIM first connects to a network at the destination, so it can be installed at home beforehand.
Plan type
Data only on the plans in our tables, with calls and texts over WhatsApp, FaceTime or any internet app; their FAQ says traditional calls and SMS are generally not included and some plans offer them as extras. A handful of their European bundles do carry a French or Spanish number, and we label those as calls and texts.
Validity clock
On first connection at the destination. Unlimited plans run at full speed for 3 GB a day and then 1 Mbps until the next day, per eSIMfly, though some of their own plan cards still quote a different allowance.
Hotspot sharing
Allowed on every plan per their FAQ, with hotspot use counting against the plan allowance.
5G access
Stated per plan in their data as 5G, 4G/5G or 3G/4G depending on the wholesaler behind it, so it varies plan by plan rather than across the brand.
Top ups
Yes on their own network plans, unlimited included: eSIMfly says data or days can be added to the eSIM you already hold, and their FAQ offers a top up or a new plan. Their premium operator plans with calls and texts are the exception and need a fresh package.
ID checks (KYC)
Not mentioned on the pages checked.
Apps
iOS app eSimFly, released 26 June 2025, version 1.4.0 on 1 September 2026, 5.0 from 3 ratings on the US listing, published by a Turkish company, ESIMFLY ILETISIM TEKNOLOJILERI PAZARLAMA TICARET LIMITED SIRKETI. Android app eSimFly by Asteralink L.L.C-FZ, 1,000+ downloads, updated 31 August 2026, no star rating shown.
Payments
Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover plus Apple Pay and Google Pay, processed through Stripe per their FAQ. Prices shown in USD with other currencies selectable, and local payment methods in Iraq through their Iraqi entity.
Refunds
Refund policy last updated 25 March 2026: unactivated eSIMs are refundable within 30 days of purchase. Non delivery of the QR code is refundable, and they may ask for proof that you reported the missing email. Activated plans and used data are not refunded.
Support
support@esimfly.net, a WhatsApp channel and a phone number, +44 7400 400749, all advertised as 24/7. Their reviews page shows staff replying to complaints with troubleshooting steps.
Coupons

Is there an eSIMfly discount code?

Not one we can vouch for right now. We only publish an eSIMfly promo code after testing it at eSIMfly's own checkout, and most codes on coupon sites are expired or never worked. If a working discount code appears it will be listed here, and it will never change where eSIMfly ranks in our tables.

PROS

  • Top ups on their own network plans, unlimited included, so a plan that runs low can be extended on the eSIM you already have
  • Very deep price ladder: most countries have plans from 1 GB to 50 GB across six validity lengths, so you can buy close to what you need
  • Validity starts on first connection, so buying and installing ahead costs nothing
  • Hotspot allowed on every plan
  • Unlimited plans exist in almost every country, useful when you would rather not count gigabytes
  • A published wholesale API and whitelabel offer, which points to a real technical operation

CONS

  • Unlimited is capped at 3 GB a day, and their own plan cards still quote different allowances on some plans
  • The company that sells to you changes with your country, so check which one is on the receipt before you need a refund
  • Headline claims of 500,000 travellers and a 4.9 rating are not supported by any listing we can check
  • Their premium plans with calls and texts cannot be topped up and cost noticeably more
  • Only 38 Trustpilot reviews and 3 App Store ratings to judge the service by

4.3 / 5 Trustpilot, 38 reviews. Collected independently of us, checked Oct 2026.

Most praised

  • Worked immediately on landing
  • Support talked a buyer through a fix that worked
  • Cheap compared with roaming

Most complained about

  • A plan stopped providing internet mid trip with no usage tracking visible

  • On an unlimited plan expect 3 GB a day at full speed then 1 Mbps, and treat any different figure on their plan card as out of date
  • Refunds only before activation and within 30 days
  • Premium plans with calls and texts cannot be topped up, so buy enough days up front
  • Check which company appears on your receipt: it changes with your country, and that is the company any refund claim goes to

Questions

eSIMfly eSIM FAQ

What people ask before they buy an eSIMfly eSIM, answered from live data

Is eSIMfly legit?

eSIMfly is a real seller with 1792 live plans in our catalogue covering 182 countries, and every one of those prices is checked again at each catalogue refresh. 97% of those plans were checked against eSIMfly's own shop on 16 October 2026, so the prices here are the ones a buyer sees. Trustpilot shows 4.3 out of 5 from 38 reviews, collected independently of us. Our own rating of 4.9 out of 5 is computed from prices and coverage and cannot be bought.

How much does an eSIMfly eSIM cost?

eSIMfly plans run from $1.51 to $289.00. Ranked by real price per GB the best rate is 50 GB for 10 Days at $13.18, which is $0.44 per GB. Across the whole catalogue the median is $2.41 per GB against a market median of $2.83, so a typical eSIMfly plan is cheaper than the market.

Does eSIMfly have a discount code?

Not one we can vouch for. We only publish eSIMfly promo codes that we have tested at its checkout, and there is no working code right now. Most codes on coupon sites are expired, so check the total on the payment page before you count on a discount.

Which countries does eSIMfly cover?

182 countries in our catalogue. The cheapest eSIMfly destinations by price per GB right now are Thailand ($0.44), Aland Islands ($0.47), Andorra ($0.47). Every country in the table on this page links to its full comparison, where eSIMfly is ranked against every other provider we track.

Can I use an eSIMfly eSIM as a hotspot?

Allowed on every plan per their FAQ, with hotspot use counting against the plan allowance.

Does eSIMfly sell unlimited data plans?

642 of its 1792 plans are sold as unlimited. In practice they are fair use plans: full speed up to a daily allowance, then slower. That is why they carry no price per GB in our tables.

How do I install an eSIMfly eSIM?

Guest checkout on the site or purchase in the app. The QR code arrives by email straight after payment and the plan activates when the eSIM first connects to a network at the destination, so it can be installed at home beforehand. Buy the plan online, scan the QR code on wifi before you fly, and leave the new line switched off until you land. Then turn on data roaming for the eSIMfly line and give it a minute to attach to a network. If the code will not install, our guide to eSIM QR code errors covers every message a phone can show.
