eSIModo eSIM review

3.9

The short answer. eSIModo sells prepaid travel eSIM plans in 189 countries, and its cheapest rate today is $0.69 per GB. Its median rate of $2.92 per GB is about 3% above the $2.83 median across every plan we track. That puts it in the middle of the market, so the country page for your destination is where you find out whether someone beats it there. It also sells plans marketed as unlimited, the most generous of them allowing 2 GB a day at full speed.

Have we checked these prices?

Not yet. eSIModo's prices here come from their own feed, and we have not built a checker for their shop yet, so nothing on this page has been confirmed against what a buyer actually sees. We are adding shop checks provider by provider and this page will say so when it is done.

A feed is not a shop. Feeds can list products that are not on sale, describe them differently, or carry a stale price, so a price nobody has checked again is only a number we copied.

eSIModo did not pay for this review or this rating. The rating is computed from live catalogue data and cannot be bought. If you buy through a link on this page we may earn a commission, and the price you pay stays exactly the same.
About eSIModo

Who is eSIModo?

eSIModo sells prepaid travel data out of Bucharest, and the thing that sets it apart is the size of the range. We list 8,225 of its plans across 183 countries, which is more separate options than any other seller on this site. A typical destination gets about fifty, running from one day to a full year and from 1 GB to 150 GB, so if your trip is nine days rather than seven you can usually buy nine days instead of rounding up and paying for data you will not use.

The brand is new. Its domain was registered in September 2025 and the eSIModo trade mark was only granted in April 2026. The company behind it is not new: Big Online Dreams SRL has been on the Romanian register since February 2016, and we confirmed it is active and VAT registered. What does not exist yet is any independent review record. Its Trustpilot profile was claimed in October 2025 and has no reviews on it at all.

On price they land right on the middle of the market, with a real quirk at the edges. Three gigabytes for a week costs $3.30 in Malaysia and $3.81 in Turkey, which is competitive, but the same plan is $340 in Eswatini and over $100 in Monaco and Sudan. Five countries out of the 152 we could compare are priced far above what anyone else charges.

Watchdog notice

Read this before you buy from eSIModo

eSIModo gives you more choice than anyone else we list and tells you more about its unlimited plans than most sellers bother to. The company behind it checks out on the Romanian register. The two things to weigh are that nobody has reviewed it yet, and that a small number of destinations are priced so far above the market that you should look at the per gigabyte figure before you buy.

  • Nobody has reviewed them. Their Trustpilot profile was claimed in October 2025 and still has zero reviews, and we could find no other independent source. Everything about their service is their own account of it, so treat the refund policy and the support promises as claims rather than as track record.
  • The company is real and we checked it rather than taking their word. Their site names Big Online Dreams SRL, CUI RO35698381, registration J40/2655/2016. The Romanian tax register returns the same company as active, registered on 23 February 2016 and VAT registered since September 2025. The EU trade mark register shows eSIModo registered to the same company in April 2026. Their About page is signed by Ciprian Dragoi, and the trade mark register lists Florin Ciprian Dragoi as the company representative.
  • The brand is about a year old even though the company is not. The domain was registered on 6 September 2025 and the trade mark was filed that December. A 2016 company number next to a 2025 brand is not a red flag, but it is not ten years of selling eSIMs either.
  • A few countries are priced far above everyone else. Three gigabytes for a week is $340.16 in Eswatini, $101.66 in Monaco, $101.55 in Sudan, $71.32 in Cuba and $64.37 in Suriname. We checked the Eswatini figure against their own page and it is genuinely what they charge, not a fault in the data we read. Five of the 152 countries we could compare are above $60 for that plan, and everywhere else is normal.
  • For most of the world the pricing is ordinary. Their median rate per gigabyte sits within a penny of the median across every plan we track, which makes them a middle of the market seller rather than a cheap one. Three gigabytes for a week is $3.30 in Malaysia, $3.81 in Turkey and $3.84 in Israel, and their cheapest rate anywhere is $0.69 a gigabyte. They come out cheapest in 5 of the 160 countries where we could compare them, which is a normal showing when the cheapest plan in any country is the best of more than fifty sellers.
  • The range is the real reason to use them. About fifty options for a typical destination, from one day to 365 and from 1 GB to 150 GB. Almost every other seller gives you four or five sizes and expects you to round up.
  • Their unlimited plans are honest about the cap, which is rarer than it should be. Every one of the 1,295 we list states its daily full speed allowance and the speed after it: 1 GB or 2 GB a day, then either 512 kbps or 5 Mbps. Most sellers print the word unlimited and bury the throttle in a terms page.
  • Two of their own documents disagree about refunds. The return policy says yes to a cancelled trip, a wrong country, an incompatible phone and a locked phone, all within 30 days and all provided the eSIM was never used. The Terms and Conditions say all sales are final and refunds are given only in justified situations. The return policy is the more specific document and the one they point buyers at, but if you ever need it, quote that page.
  • Their tax wording does not line up. The FAQ says the displayed prices include all taxes. Their Stripe checkout shows a tax line reading enter address to calculate, which means tax can be added for some buyers. We have asked them which it is.
  • There are no top ups. Nothing on their site or in their data feed mentions adding data to a live eSIM, so if you run out you are buying another plan and installing it.

We list eSIModo because its prices are real and its plans rank on the same maths as everyone else's. We publish what we could not verify so you can decide with the facts in front of you.

Technical details

How eSIModo works, in detail

Activation
Buy on the website with no account. The QR code and the instructions arrive by email and by text, so the order form asks for a phone number as well as an address.
Plan type
Data only. No phone number comes with it, and calls or texts have to go through apps like WhatsApp.
Validity clock
At the first network connection in the destination country, not at purchase. You then have six months from the purchase date to start using it at all.
Hotspot sharing
Allowed. Their Terms and Conditions say all eSIMs allow the use of hotspots, with a warning that running a laptop through one eats the allowance quickly.
5G access
Their FAQ says each country page names the partner operators and which of 3G, 4G and 5G they run. That describes the local network rather than promising a generation on a particular plan, so we mark no plan as 5G.
Top ups
Nothing published. Neither their site nor their data feed mentions adding data to an eSIM that is already running, so we show no plan as toppable.
ID checks (KYC)
None. Their FAQ says the purchase is anonymous and that all they need is an email address and a phone number.
Apps
No app. Everything happens on the website and through the email and text you get after paying.
Payments
Card, at a Stripe checkout that also offers Apple Pay, Google Pay and Cash App Pay. Their own Terms still say card only, so the checkout is ahead of the paperwork. The payment page names Onelink as the seller of record and says the plans themselves are provided by eSIModo.
Refunds
Their return policy is one of the clearest we have read, and it is laid out as a table of real situations rather than as prose. You have 30 days from purchase, and the answer is yes if the eSIM has not been used: trip cancelled, wrong country ordered by mistake, phone turns out not to support eSIM, phone turns out to be locked to a network, all the eSIM slots on the phone are already full, or they sent the wrong package. The answer is no once you have connected in the destination, and no if your complaint is about speed or signal. You email contact@esimodo.com, they check whether the eSIM ever connected, and the money goes back to the card within five working days. Worth knowing that their Terms and Conditions are harsher than this, saying all sales are final and refunds happen only in justified situations, so the two documents do not read the same way.
Support
Email contact@esimodo.com or call +40 726 253 417. They claim most replies come back in under an hour, which is their number and not ours.

PROS

  • The widest range on this site by a distance, about fifty options per destination, so you can match the plan to the trip instead of rounding up
  • Every unlimited plan states its daily full speed allowance and the speed you drop to afterwards, which most sellers leave vague
  • The refund policy names the actual situations and answers each one yes or no, including a phone that turns out to be locked or full
  • The company is a real registered Romanian business you can look up, and the trade mark is registered to the same company
  • Prices include tax according to their FAQ, and hotspot is allowed in writing in their contract terms

CONS

  • A handful of countries are priced far above the market. Three gigabytes for a week is $340 in Eswatini and over $100 in Monaco and Sudan
  • No independent reviews at all, so there is nothing to check their service against except their own claims
  • No app, and no top ups, so a plan that runs out means buying a new one
  • Their FAQ says prices include all taxes while their checkout shows a tax line that says enter your address to calculate, and those two cannot both be right for every buyer
  • They ask for a phone number as well as an email, because delivery goes out by text too
Reputation check

We found no verified customer reviews on Trustpilot yet, so reputation cannot influence this rating. Until a track record builds, here is what to check yourself:

Check before you buy

  • Check the price per gigabyte before you buy, because this catalogue is mostly reasonable but has a few destinations priced many times above everyone else
  • The clock starts when you first connect in the destination country, and you have six months from purchase to start it at all
  • Enter your phone number with the international prefix or their automatic text will not arrive, which their own delivery policy warns about
  • Their unlimited plans are capped: you get 1 GB or 2 GB a day at full speed and then drop to 512 kbps or 5 Mbps for the rest of the day
  • Use the code ESIMWATCHDOG on the payment page for 10% off. It is typed at the Stripe checkout, not applied automatically, and the prices in our table do not include it

Questions

eSIModo eSIM FAQ

What people ask before they buy an eSIModo eSIM, answered from live data

Is eSIModo legit?

eSIModo is a real seller with 8696 live plans in our catalogue covering 189 countries, and every one of those prices is checked again at each catalogue refresh. Our own rating of 3.9 out of 5 is computed from prices and coverage and cannot be bought.

How much does an eSIModo eSIM cost?

eSIModo plans run from $2.55 to $13,280.75. Ranked by real price per GB the best rate is 50 GB for 30 Days at $34.50, which is $0.69 per GB. Across the whole catalogue the median is $2.92 per GB against a market median of $2.83, so a typical eSIModo plan is dearer than the market.

Does eSIModo have a discount code?

Yes. ESIMWATCHDOG: 10% off at the eSIModo checkout, typed on the payment page We tested it at eSIModo's own checkout before listing it, and using it never changes where eSIModo ranks on this site.

Which countries does eSIModo cover?

189 countries in our catalogue. The cheapest eSIModo destinations by price per GB right now are Malaysia ($0.69), Thailand ($0.80), Georgia ($0.84). Every country in the table on this page links to its full comparison, where eSIModo is ranked against every other provider we track.

Can I use an eSIModo eSIM as a hotspot?

Allowed. Their Terms and Conditions say all eSIMs allow the use of hotspots, with a warning that running a laptop through one eats the allowance quickly.

Does eSIModo sell unlimited data plans?

1471 of its 8696 plans are sold as unlimited. In practice they are fair use plans: full speed up to a daily allowance, then slower. That is why they carry no price per GB in our tables.

How do I install an eSIModo eSIM?

Buy on the website with no account. The QR code and the instructions arrive by email and by text, so the order form asks for a phone number as well as an address. Buy the plan online, scan the QR code on wifi before you fly, and leave the new line switched off until you land. Then turn on data roaming for the eSIModo line and give it a minute to attach to a network. If the code will not install, our guide to eSIM QR code errors covers every message a phone can show.

We may earn a commission. It never changes the ranking or the rating.
