FlyEsim eSIM review

4.0

The short answer. FlyEsim sells prepaid travel eSIM plans in 201 countries, and its cheapest rate today is $0.50 per GB. Its median rate of $3.52 per GB is about 24% above the $2.83 median across every plan we track. You are paying above the middle of the market for a typical plan here, so open the country page for your destination before you buy: it ranks every seller we track on the same maths. It also sells plans marketed as unlimited, the most generous of them allowing 3 GB a day at full speed.

Have we checked these prices?

91% of FlyEsim's plans on this site were checked against FlyEsim's own shop on 16 October 2026, one country page at a time. We confirm the product is on sale and that the price is the one they charge, and we take their price over ours whenever the two disagree.

A feed is not a shop. Feeds can list products that are not on sale, describe them differently, or carry a stale price, so a price nobody has checked again is only a number we copied.

FlyEsim did not pay for this review or this rating. The rating is computed from live catalogue data and cannot be bought. If you buy through a link on this page we may earn a commission, and the price you pay stays exactly the same.
About FlyEsim

Who is FlyEsim?

FlyEsim.me is a web only travel eSIM shop selling plans for 200+ destinations, priced in euro, with no app of its own: buy on the site, receive a QR code or manual activation details in the account and by email, and track usage on a web dashboard. Its terms state that the operating company and registered address are named in the Contact section and in the order confirmation, yet the Contact page lists only two email addresses, and no company name, registration number or postal address appears anywhere on the site. The domain was registered in January 2026, the LinkedIn page gives a 2026 founding with 2 to 10 staff, the Trustpilot profile lists its location as Albania, and the terms name Stripe, POKPay and OxaPay as the payment processors for cards and cryptocurrency.

On the pages checked every plan is data only, hotspot is listed as allowed on all 48 Japan plans and the FAQ confirms a personal hotspot works once the eSIM is active, and 5G is offered where supported with no carrier named. Unlimited plans on the Japan page slow to 256 kbps after 1 GB on the Standard tier or 2 GB on the Plus tier. Top ups exist only on plans that support them, and the destination pages do not say which ones do. The refund terms are among the strictest we have read: all sales are final once the QR code is delivered, with a replacement or refund only for an eSIM that was never installed, is verifiably faulty through their own error and is reported within 7 days, and nothing at all after 14 days from purchase. Trustpilot shows 3.7 from just 5 reviews, far too few to judge the service by.

Technical details

How FlyEsim works, in detail

Activation
Delivered to the account and/or by email as a QR code or activation profile immediately or shortly after payment, per the terms. Scan it through the phone's Add eSIM flow or enter the activation data manually, set it as the mobile data line when travelling and keep roaming enabled where required, per the installation guide. No app.
Plan type
Data only on every plan on the Japan, Turkey, Europe and United States pages checked, with voice and SMS both at zero. The packages page carries a Data + Voice + SMS filter, but no voice plan appeared on those four pages.
Validity clock
Not stated. Neither the FAQ, the installation guide nor the destination pages say whether the clock starts at purchase, install or first connection. The terms say only that performance of the service is deemed to begin the moment the QR code is made available.
Hotspot sharing
Allowed per the FAQ once the eSIM is active. The Japan page data lists tethering as allowed on all 48 plans; the Turkey, Europe and United States pages leave the field blank. The terms warn that continuous or tethering heavy use may be treated as a fair use breach and cut off without refund.
5G access
5G Ready Speeds where supported, per the homepage. No carrier or network name is shown on any destination page checked.
Top ups
Per plan. The FAQ says to buy another package or top up on plans that support it, and the destination pages do not show which plans do. The terms also mention renewable or subscription plans that auto renew until cancelled.
ID checks (KYC)
Not mentioned at checkout or in the FAQ. The terms reserve the right to run identity, fraud and sanctions checks and to refuse or cancel an order.
Apps
No app from flyesim.me. The Flyesim app in the App Store and Google Play is published by Flyesim S.A.R.L and links to flyesim.net, a different business.
Payments
Credit and debit cards plus cryptocurrency, processed by Stripe, POKPay and OxaPay per the terms. Prices in euro, stated as inclusive of taxes. Crypto and certain other methods may carry a non refundable processing fee shown at checkout.
Refunds
All sales final once the QR code is delivered, installed, activated or any data is used. A replacement or refund is given only where the eSIM was never installed or used, is verifiably faulty through a fault solely on their side, and the problem was reported within 7 days of delivery, and never more than 14 days after purchase. Device incompatibility, a locked phone, wrong plan and change of mind are all excluded.
Support
Email only: support@flyesim.me for help and marketing@flyesim.me for partnerships. The site claims 24/7 support but publishes no phone number, live chat or response time, and asks for the order ID, device model, destination and a screenshot with each request.

What real FlyEsim customers say

3.7 / 5 Trustpilot, 5 reviews. Collected independently of us, checked Oct 2026. Too few reviews to influence our rating.

Most praised

  • Fast 5G speeds throughout a trip
  • Easy installation and management
  • Good value per GB and consistent service across several countries

Most complained about

  • Very slow data and no 5G for one reviewer
  • Nobody to contact when it went wrong

Check before you buy

  • The terms say the legal entity and registered address are in the Contact section and the order confirmation, but the Contact page shows only two email addresses; the Trustpilot profile lists Albania and the LinkedIn page says founded 2026 with 2 to 10 staff, and that is all that can be found
  • Refund rights end the moment the QR code is made available, before you install anything; the only exception is a verifiably faulty eSIM reported within 7 days of delivery, and nothing at all after 14 days from purchase
  • Disputes go to binding arbitration under the law and rules of wherever the operating entity is registered, and that place is not named anywhere on the site
  • A chargeback the company considers bad faith is treated as a breach of the terms, which allow it to close the account and cancel any active eSIM without refund
  • Validity start is not stated on the FAQ, the installation guide or the destination pages; the terms say only that performance begins when the QR code is made available
  • The Flyesim app in the App Store and Google Play is by Flyesim S.A.R.L and links to flyesim.net, a different business; flyesim.me has no app and support is by email only
  • Unlimited plans on the Japan page slow to 256 kbps after 1 GB (Standard) or 2 GB (Plus), and the page data does not say whether that allowance is per day or for the whole plan; the terms say it can be either
  • Hotspot is listed as allowed, yet the terms say continuous or tethering heavy use can be treated as a fair use breach and cut off without refund
  • Crypto and certain other payment methods carry a non refundable processing fee shown at checkout

Questions

FlyEsim eSIM FAQ

What people ask before they buy a FlyEsim eSIM, answered from live data

Is FlyEsim legit?

FlyEsim is a real seller with 3694 live plans in our catalogue covering 201 countries, and every one of those prices is checked again at each catalogue refresh. 91% of those plans were checked against FlyEsim's own shop on 16 October 2026, so the prices here are the ones a buyer sees. Trustpilot shows 3.7 out of 5 from 5 reviews, collected independently of us. Our own rating of 4.0 out of 5 is computed from prices and coverage and cannot be bought.

How much does a FlyEsim eSIM cost?

FlyEsim plans run from $1.24 to $1,200.72. Ranked by real price per GB the best rate is 500 GB for 90 Days at $134.57, which is $0.50 per GB. Across the whole catalogue the median is $3.52 per GB against a market median of $2.83, so a typical FlyEsim plan is dearer than the market.

Does FlyEsim have a discount code?

Yes. ESIMWATCHDOG: 10% off every plan at checkout We tested it at FlyEsim's own checkout before listing it, and using it never changes where FlyEsim ranks on this site.

Which countries does FlyEsim cover?

201 countries in our catalogue. The cheapest FlyEsim destinations by price per GB right now are Aland Islands ($0.50), Andorra ($0.50), Austria ($0.50). Every country in the table on this page links to its full comparison, where FlyEsim is ranked against every other provider we track.

Can I use a FlyEsim eSIM as a hotspot?

Allowed per the FAQ once the eSIM is active. The Japan page data lists tethering as allowed on all 48 plans; the Turkey, Europe and United States pages leave the field blank. The terms warn that continuous or tethering heavy use may be treated as a fair use breach and cut off without refund.

Does FlyEsim sell unlimited data plans?

1518 of its 3694 plans are sold as unlimited. In practice they are fair use plans: full speed up to a daily allowance, then slower. That is why they carry no price per GB in our tables.

How do I install a FlyEsim eSIM?

Delivered to the account and/or by email as a QR code or activation profile immediately or shortly after payment, per the terms. Scan it through the phone's Add eSIM flow or enter the activation data manually, set it as the mobile data line when travelling and keep roaming enabled where required, per the installation guide. No app. Buy the plan online, scan the QR code on wifi before you fly, and leave the new line switched off until you land. Then turn on data roaming for the FlyEsim line and give it a minute to attach to a network. If the code will not install, our guide to eSIM QR code errors covers every message a phone can show.
