Horizon eSIM review

4.6

The short answer. Horizon eSIM sells prepaid travel eSIM plans in 150 countries, and its cheapest rate today is $0.28 per GB. Its median rate of $1.15 per GB is about 59% below the $2.83 median across every plan we track. On price it is a reasonable default, and the country page for your destination will still show you whether someone there beats it.

Have we checked these prices?

Not yet. Horizon eSIM's prices here come from their own feed, and we have not built a checker for their shop yet, so nothing on this page has been confirmed against what a buyer actually sees. We are adding shop checks provider by provider and this page will say so when it is done.

A feed is not a shop. Feeds can list products that are not on sale, describe them differently, or carry a stale price, so a price nobody has checked again is only a number we copied.

Horizon eSIM did not pay for this review or this rating. The rating is computed from live catalogue data and cannot be bought. If you buy through a link on this page we may earn a commission, and the price you pay stays exactly the same.
About Horizon eSIM

Who is Horizon eSIM?

Horizon eSIM sells prepaid, data only travel eSIMs across 150 countries by our count, in three shapes: single country plans, regional packs and wider global plans. The store runs in ten languages, there are apps for iPhone and Android, and payment goes through Paysera.

Two things set it apart from most of the sellers here. The first is price: on the numbers it is the cheapest option we list in a large share of destinations. The second is its refund policy, which promises a full refund on request at any time, even after the data has been used, and is the most generous we have read. Set against that, the company behind the brand does not say what country it is registered in, which its own terms then rely on to decide whose law applies.

Watchdog notice

Read this before you buy from Horizon eSIM

Horizon is the cheapest seller on this site in a good number of destinations, and it has the most generous refund policy we have read anywhere: a full refund on request with no time limit, even after the data is used. The prices you see on our pages already include the ten percent our readers get, so there is no code to type. What it does not tell you is which country the company behind it is registered in, which matters because its own terms hang the governing law on exactly that.

  • The price in our table is what you pay, and it already has the reader discount in it. Their own feed quotes undiscounted retail, but arriving through a link from this site sets a cookie and their checkout takes ten percent off on its own. We checked it on their Africa range: 4.09, 6.69, 13.09 and 25.99 euro became 3.69, 6.03, 11.79 and 23.40, and going back without the cookie put the old prices straight back. So there is no coupon to enter and no code next to their rows, because the discount is already in the number. We take it off the euro price the same way their checkout does, rounded to the whole cent, so the euro amount behind each of our dollar figures matches theirs exactly.
  • Their refund policy is the most generous we have read, and it is worth reading yourself. Their published policy says they always refund the full amount you paid when you ask, whether the eSIM is unused, partly used or fully used, with no time limit, no fee deducted and no reason required. Top ups are covered too. Every other seller on this site voids your refund the moment you activate. We are reporting their published policy, not a promise we can enforce, so keep your order number.
  • Nobody tells you what country you are buying from. Their terms say Horizon is a brand of LuShen L.L.C., trade name LSHTech, business registration number 812292598, and then say the governing law is the law of the country where that company is registered and that disputes go to the courts of its registered seat. That country is named nowhere on the site, and there is no postal address either. So you cannot tell which law covers your purchase, which court would hear a claim, or which register to look the company up in. We have asked them.
  • You pay in euros, not dollars. They sell in euros only, so the dollar figures in our tables are converted at the European Central Bank daily reference rate and refreshed every night. Your card is charged the euro amount and your bank adds its own rate on top.
  • We show hotspot and top ups only because they confirmed them in writing. Their feed marks every plan as allowing both, and a blanket yes like that has been wrong before on another seller, so we asked. They told us hotspot is included on every plan on compatible phones, and that you can top up any plan except Kosovo, as long as your Horizon eSIM is still eligible. Their app checks that, and an eSIM that has been suspended or deleted may not take a top up. Kosovo plans cannot be topped up at all, so you buy a new eSIM. Their feed still says Kosovo can be topped up. It cannot, so we show no top ups on Kosovo plans.
  • They are fairly new. The domain was registered in February 2024, so it was about nineteen months old when we listed them. Payments are handled by Paysera rather than in house.
  • We could not read any independent review score. Trustpilot blocks our server, so unlike some sellers we cannot tell you whether a profile exists or what it says.
  • On price they are genuinely strong. At the discounted price a reader actually pays, their median plan works out around a dollar and a quarter per gigabyte against a market median near three dollars, and they come out cheapest on a large share of the destinations we compare. That is the ranking maths alone, and no seller can pay to change it.

We list Horizon eSIM because its prices are real and its plans rank on the same maths as everyone else's. We publish what we could not verify so you can decide with the facts in front of you.

Technical details

How Horizon eSIM works, in detail

Activation
Buy in the store or the app, then install from the details sent to your account and your email. Apps exist for iPhone and Android.
Plan type
Data only. No phone number, no calls and no SMS, so messaging runs over apps.
Validity clock
On first connection at your destination, not at purchase. Their checkout says validity does not start until the eSIM connects to a supported network where you are going, and that there is no deadline for first use, so you can buy now and keep the plan for a later trip.
Hotspot sharing
Allowed on every plan, on phones that support it. Horizon confirmed this to us in writing in September 2026 and said no range of plans is excluded.
5G access
Not claimed. Their feed states no network generations at all, so we mark no plan as 5G.
Top ups
Yes on every plan except Kosovo. The data goes onto a Horizon eSIM you already have, and their app and checkout check that it is still eligible, so an eSIM that has been suspended or deleted may not take one. Kosovo plans cannot be topped up at all, and a Kosovo package cannot be added to an existing eSIM either, so for Kosovo you buy a new one.
ID checks (KYC)
Nothing published about identity checks, and their feed records no plan as requiring one.
Apps
Apps for iPhone and Android, plus a free 1 GB Europe eSIM advertised inside the app.
Payments
Processed by Paysera. Their checkout shows Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Their terms say they do not store full card details. All prices are charged in euros.
Refunds
The most generous policy we have read on any seller here, and short enough to check yourself. Their published policy states a full refund of the amount paid whenever you request it, whether the eSIM is unused, partly used or fully used, with no time limit, no fee deducted and no reason required. Top ups are covered on the same terms, including ones already used. Requests go to support@horizonesim.com with the order number and the email used at checkout, they aim to reply within 48 hours, and money goes back to the original payment method in about 5 to 10 business days.
Support
Email support@horizonesim.com plus a contact page and a help centre, with a stated aim of replying within 48 hours. No phone number is published.
Coupons

Is there a Horizon eSIM discount code?

Not one we can vouch for right now. We only publish a Horizon eSIM promo code after testing it at Horizon eSIM's own checkout, and most codes on coupon sites are expired or never worked. If a working discount code appears it will be listed here, and it will never change where Horizon eSIM ranks in our tables.

Why Horizon eSIM scores 4.6 out of 5

No editor chose this number. It is computed from three measurable things, weighted 45% value, 35% coverage, 20% features:

Value for money45% of score

PROS

  • Cheapest option we list in a large share of the destinations we compare
  • A full refund on request with no time limit, even after the data is used, which no other seller here offers
  • The reader discount is already in the price, so there is no code to remember at checkout
  • Plans in three clear shapes, single country, regional and global, rather than one confusing range
  • Store in ten languages with apps for both iPhone and Android
  • Hotspot on every plan, and top ups on every plan except Kosovo, both confirmed by the company in writing rather than just flagged in a feed

CONS

  • The company does not say which country it is registered in, and its own terms hang the governing law on that
  • No postal address published anywhere, and no phone number
  • Euro pricing only, so every dollar figure here is a conversion and your bank adds its own
  • Kosovo plans cannot be topped up, even though their own feed says they can, so for Kosovo you buy a new eSIM when the data runs out
  • No independent review score we can read, since Trustpilot blocks our server

Check before you buy

  • There is no coupon code for Horizon on this site and you do not need one: the ten percent is already in the price you see, applied when you arrive through our link
  • Read the refund policy before you assume it, because it is unusually generous and generous policies are the ones that change
  • A top up goes onto an eSIM you already have and their system checks it is still eligible, so do not delete the eSIM from your phone if you think you might want more data later
  • Their prices are quoted in euros, so the dollar figure here moves with the exchange rate even when their price has not changed

Questions

Horizon eSIM FAQ

What people ask before they buy a Horizon eSIM, answered from live data

Is Horizon eSIM legit?

Horizon eSIM is a real seller with 1386 live plans in our catalogue covering 150 countries, and every one of those prices is checked again at each catalogue refresh. Our own rating of 4.6 out of 5 is computed from prices and coverage and cannot be bought.

How much does a Horizon eSIM cost?

Horizon eSIM plans run from $0.22 to $248.44. Ranked by real price per GB the best rate is 1 GB for 7 Days at $0.28, which is $0.28 per GB. Across the whole catalogue the median is $1.15 per GB against a market median of $2.83, so a typical Horizon eSIM plan is cheaper than the market.

Does Horizon eSIM have a discount code?

Not one we can vouch for. We only publish Horizon eSIM promo codes that we have tested at its checkout, and there is no working code right now. Most codes on coupon sites are expired, so check the total on the payment page before you count on a discount.

Which countries does Horizon eSIM cover?

150 countries in our catalogue. The cheapest Horizon eSIM destinations by price per GB right now are Austria ($0.28), Bahrain ($0.28), Bangladesh ($0.28). Every country in the table on this page links to its full comparison, where Horizon eSIM is ranked against every other provider we track.

Can I use a Horizon eSIM as a hotspot?

Allowed on every plan, on phones that support it. Horizon confirmed this to us in writing in September 2026 and said no range of plans is excluded.

Does Horizon eSIM sell unlimited data plans?

No. Every Horizon eSIM plan has a fixed data allowance, which is why every one of them can be ranked by an honest price per GB.

How do I install a Horizon eSIM?

Buy in the store or the app, then install from the details sent to your account and your email. Apps exist for iPhone and Android. Buy the plan online, scan the QR code on wifi before you fly, and leave the new line switched off until you land. Then turn on data roaming for the Horizon eSIM line and give it a minute to attach to a network. If the code will not install, our guide to eSIM QR code errors covers every message a phone can show.

We may earn a commission. It never changes the ranking or the rating.
