RoameSIM eSIM review

3.9

The short answer. RoameSIM sells prepaid travel eSIM plans in 201 countries, and its cheapest rate today is $0.73 per GB. Its median rate of $4.66 per GB is about 65% above the $2.83 median across every plan we track. You are paying above the middle of the market for a typical plan here, so open the country page for your destination before you buy: it ranks every seller we track on the same maths. It also sells plans marketed as unlimited, the most generous of them allowing 5 GB a day at full speed.

No editor chose this rating. It is computed from live catalogue data: value for money, country coverage, features. It cannot be bought. See how it is calculated.

Have we checked these prices?

Partly. 34% of RoameSIM's plans on this site were checked against RoameSIM's own pages on 16 October 2026 and confirmed on sale at our price (660 plans). The rest are plans RoameSIM sells through direct links that its pages do not list, so we cannot see them on a page a buyer sees; they carry the feed price and are marked unverified in our tables.

A feed is not a shop. Feeds can list products that are not on sale, describe them differently, or carry a stale price, so a price nobody has checked again is only a number we copied.

RoameSIM did not pay for this review or this rating. The rating is computed from live catalogue data and cannot be bought. If you buy through a link on this page we may earn a commission, and the price you pay stays exactly the same.

About RoameSIM

Who is RoameSIM?

RoameSIM is a travel eSIM shop covering more than 200 destinations, selling plain fixed size bundles alongside daily allowance plans that give a set amount at full speed each day and then slow down. Checkout happens on the plan page itself through Stripe, with no account required, and prices are published in several currencies rather than converted.

Watchdog notice

Read this before you buy from RoameSIM

RoameSIM does several things right that most sellers on this site do not. Their partner feed states the fair use speed on every unlimited plan, their checkout sits on the plan page with no account needed, and the reader discount applies itself the moment someone arrives from here. What is missing is the company: no legal entity, address or registration number is published anywhere, even though their terms put any dispute in the English courts.

  • No company is named on the site. There is no about page, and the terms, privacy policy and contact page name no entity, no address and no registration number. The only contact published is info@roamesim.io.
  • Their terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales with exclusive jurisdiction there, which is unusually specific for a seller that never says who it is.
  • Code ESMWD10 takes 10% off, and we tested it at their checkout rather than taking their word: it applies itself on arrival through our link and took a plan from 51.46 to 46.31 in pounds, exactly 10%.
  • Their unlimited plans are daily allowance plans and their feed says so plainly, giving the daily figure and the speed you drop to afterwards. We store the daily allowance, never as a total bundle.
  • They publish a refund policy that commits to a refund or replacement when an eSIM cannot be installed because of a technical fault on their side. That is narrower than a change of mind, but it is written down, which beats several sellers here.
  • Prices are set by them in dollars, euros and pounds rather than converted by us, and the page lets a reader switch. Their dollar figure is the one in our tables.
  • Independent feedback is almost nil: 3.7 on Trustpilot from 4 reviews. Treat that as no signal at all.

We list RoameSIM because its prices are real and its plans rank on the same maths as everyone else's. We publish what we could not verify so you can decide with the facts in front of you.

Technical details

How RoameSIM works, in detail

Activation
Buy on the plan page itself with a card through Stripe, no account and no sign up. The QR code is emailed within minutes and is also reachable from a private order tracking link.
Plan type
Data only. Their feed marks telephony as unavailable on every plan in the catalogue.
Validity clock
The plan runs for its stated number of days. On a daily allowance plan the stated amount comes back every 24 hours and the speed drops to the published fair use figure once it is used.
Hotspot sharing
Stated per plan and switched on across the catalogue. Their feed carries a tethering flag on every plan we import.
5G access
Stated per plan through the network list. Their feed names each local operator with the generations it runs, so a plan shows 5G here only where a 5G network is actually named.
Top ups
Stated per plan. Their feed marks each plan as toppable or not, so check the row before relying on it.
ID checks (KYC)
None. Their feed records every plan as needing no identity verification.
Apps
No app. Everything happens on the website, and the eSIM arrives by email with an order tracking link.
Payments
Card through Stripe, with no account needed and no card details held by them. Prices are published in dollars, euros, pounds, lira, dirhams and riyals, and the site lets you switch.
Refunds
Published policy, last updated June 2026. A refund or replacement is offered where an eSIM cannot be installed or used because of a technical problem on their side, and the policy sits alongside a separate purchase policy. Refund requests go to info@roamesim.io.
Support
info@roamesim.io, with troubleshooting and help pages on the site. No phone number, no live chat and no promised response time.

PROS

  • Code ESMWD10 takes 10% off and applies itself when a reader arrives from here, with nothing to type
  • The fair use speed is published on every unlimited plan, which most sellers leave out
  • Checkout is on the plan page through Stripe with no account to create
  • Prices are set by them in six currencies, so the dollar figure here is theirs rather than our conversion
  • Tethering across the catalogue and no identity checks on anything
  • A written refund policy for an eSIM that will not install

CONS

  • No company name, address or registration number anywhere on the site
  • No about page at all, so there is nothing to judge the business by
  • Four Trustpilot reviews to go on
  • Refunds cover a technical fault on their side, not a change of mind
  • No app, no phone and no chat, so email is the only route if something goes wrong

What real RoameSIM customers say

3.7 / 5 Trustpilot, 4 reviews. Collected independently of us, checked Oct 2026. Too few reviews to influence our rating.

Most praised

  • Too few reviews to draw anything from

Most complained about

  • Four reviews is not enough to show a pattern

Check before you buy

  • On a daily allowance plan the figure in the name is what you get each day, then the speed drops to the published fair use rate, which is not the same as a large pooled bundle
  • The 10% code should already be applied when you land from here, so check it is showing before you pay
  • Check the top up flag on the row if you might need to extend mid trip
  • Their page may open in your local currency, so switch it if you want to compare against the dollar figure here

Questions

RoameSIM eSIM FAQ

What people ask before they buy a RoameSIM eSIM, answered from live data

Is RoameSIM legit?

RoameSIM is a real seller with 1938 live plans in our catalogue covering 201 countries, and every one of those prices is checked again at each catalogue refresh. Trustpilot shows 3.7 out of 5 from 4 reviews, collected independently of us. Our own rating of 3.9 out of 5 is computed from prices and coverage and cannot be bought.

How much does a RoameSIM eSIM cost?

RoameSIM plans run from $3.13 to $437.50. Ranked by real price per GB the best rate is 20 GB for 30 Days at $14.69, which is $0.73 per GB. Across the whole catalogue the median is $4.66 per GB against a market median of $2.83, so a typical RoameSIM plan is dearer than the market.

Does RoameSIM have a discount code?

Yes. ESMWD10: 10% off any RoameSIM plan We tested it at RoameSIM's own checkout before listing it, and using it never changes where RoameSIM ranks on this site.

Which countries does RoameSIM cover?

201 countries in our catalogue. The cheapest RoameSIM destinations by price per GB right now are Poland ($0.73), Turkey ($0.75), Belgium ($0.77). Every country in the table on this page links to its full comparison, where RoameSIM is ranked against every other provider we track.

Can I use a RoameSIM eSIM as a hotspot?

Stated per plan and switched on across the catalogue. Their feed carries a tethering flag on every plan we import.

Does RoameSIM sell unlimited data plans?

776 of its 1938 plans are sold as unlimited. In practice they are fair use plans: full speed up to a daily allowance, then slower. That is why they carry no price per GB in our tables.

How do I install a RoameSIM eSIM?

Buy on the plan page itself with a card through Stripe, no account and no sign up. The QR code is emailed within minutes and is also reachable from a private order tracking link. Buy the plan online, scan the QR code on wifi before you fly, and leave the new line switched off until you land. Then turn on data roaming for the RoameSIM line and give it a minute to attach to a network. If the code will not install, our guide to eSIM QR code errors covers every message a phone can show.
