SimSmash eSIM review

Read this before you buy from SimSmash

SimSmash is cheaper than most sellers we list and the cheapest in several countries, Japan among them. Its domain was registered in March 2026, the company behind it gives no state or registration number, and Trustpilot has no page for it. The Japan and France prices we checked on their store matched to the cent, but there is no track record yet, so read the refund rules first.

• We checked their Japan and France prices by hand on their own store, fixed and Daily Unlimited alike, and every one matched to the cent, as did the Turkey prices we compared. The rest of their catalogue comes from their data and has not been checked plan by plan.
• They are cheaper than most sellers here. Their median plan works out about a third below the market median per gigabyte, and they are the cheapest travel sized plan we compare in several countries, including Japan, Australia, Hong Kong and Indonesia.
• The company is hard to pin down. The only legal name on the site is SIMSMASH LLC, in their privacy policy, with no state, address or registration number, so there is no register we can check it against. The domain was registered on 29 March 2026. Their About page says the business was founded in 2025 and claims 4.9 out of 5 from more than 2,000 reviews, without naming a source. Trustpilot has no page for them.
• Two answers on tax. Their FAQ says every price shown on their site includes all taxes. Their management told us in writing that prices exclude tax and that tax is added at checkout according to your billing country. We publish the price their page shows, so check the total before you pay.
• Daily Unlimited is priced by the day. You choose a daily full speed allowance, from 500 MB to 10 GB. Past the allowance the speed drops for the rest of that day, and they have not published the slower speed. We list each allowance as a one day plan at its daily price.
• We do not show hotspot or top ups yet. Their data says yes to both on every plan, while their own FAQ says some plans limit or block hotspot and only some can be topped up. Until they tell us which plans allow them, we show neither.
• The refund rules are narrow once you activate. A full refund if the eSIM has not been activated, and after that a partial one for unused data within 24 hours of purchase, plus a coverage guarantee in their FAQ that we have not seen tested.
• Their regional plans are missing for now. The Europe link in their data opens an empty page, so we have held all their regional plans until the links are fixed, and list their country plans and two global plans.

We list SimSmash because its prices are real and its plans rank on the same maths as everyone else's. We publish what we could not verify so you can decide with the facts in front of you.
