Have we checked these prices?

98% of Telekonek's plans on this site were checked against Telekonek's own shop on 16 October 2026, one country page at a time. We confirm the product is on sale and that the price is the one they charge, and we take their price over ours whenever the two disagree.

A feed is not a shop. Feeds can list products that are not on sale, describe them differently, or carry a stale price, so a price nobody has checked again is only a number we copied.

Telekonek did not pay for this review or this rating. The rating is computed from live catalogue data and cannot be bought. If you buy through a link on this page we may earn a commission, and the price you pay stays exactly the same.

About Telekonek

Who is Telekonek?

Telekonek is run by Telekonek LLC, registered at a mailing address in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and sells data only eSIM plans for 200+ destinations from $3.50, built on a Laravel site with its own Android app (an iOS app is listed as coming soon). Its own about page tells a founding story dating to 2023 and describes a five person team split across Singapore, Lisbon and Manila.

Support is a real strength on paper: live chat around the clock, email replies typically within 2 hours, Messenger, and a listed US phone and WhatsApp number. Top ups land on the same eSIM within about a minute and hotspot is unrestricted. The refund story is less consistent: the about page promises a refund if a trip changes or a plan never activated, but the actual terms give only 5 days and rule out any refund once the eSIM is installed, whatever the reason. Its Trustpilot page sits at 3.8 from 17 reviews, and the Android app has just 10+ downloads with no public rating yet.

Technical details

How Telekonek works, in detail

Activation
Scan the QR from Settings, Cellular, Add eSIM (or Network, SIMs, Add eSIM on Android), then toggle the line on once you land. Can be installed on home WiFi ahead of the trip.
Plan type
Data only; your home number and its SMS and two factor codes keep working on your original line.
Validity clock
Most plans start counting from first network attach, not purchase. A "starts on date X" option exists for a buffer.
Hotspot sharing
Personal hotspot and USB tethering are unrestricted on all plans, per their own FAQ.
5G access
5G where available, LTE otherwise, at full local network speed on metered plans.
Top ups
Top up from the dashboard onto the same eSIM profile, live within about a minute, no new QR or line needed.
ID checks (KYC)
Not required. Checkout only asks for name, billing address and email; no identity verification is mentioned anywhere.
Apps
Android app on Google Play with 10+ downloads and no public rating yet. iOS app listed as coming soon.
Payments
Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay through a Stripe secured checkout. Prices in US dollars.
Refunds
Requests must be made within 5 days of purchase and only succeed if the eSIM was never installed and no data was consumed. No refunds for device incompatibility, wrong expectations about voice or SMS, or a change of mind after activation, even though the about page separately promises to refund rather than upsell if a trip changes.
Support
Live chat around the clock per the site, email replies within 2 hours (06:00 to 23:00 UTC), Facebook Messenger, and a listed US phone and WhatsApp number. A small team, five people across Singapore, Lisbon and Manila by their own account.

PROS

  • Top ups land on the same eSIM within about a minute, no new profile needed
  • Hotspot and tethering explicitly unrestricted on every plan
  • Real support channels: live chat, fast email, Messenger and a phone and WhatsApp number
  • Registered US LLC with a published street address and phone number
  • Home number and two factor codes keep working alongside the Telekonek data line

CONS

  • Refund window is only 5 days and closes the moment the eSIM is installed regardless of activation
  • The about page markets an easy, generous refund stance that the terms do not fully back up
  • Trustpilot sits at 3.8 from just 17 reviews, a middling score with too little evidence behind it
  • Android app has very few installs and no public rating; iOS app is not out yet
Reputation check

What real Telekonek customers say

3.8 / 5 Trustpilot, 17 reviews. Collected independently of us, checked Oct 2026. Too few reviews to influence our rating.

Most praised

  • Reliable, fast connections with no issues
  • Easy to buy and install
  • Support by email exceeded expectations for speed and problem solving

Most complained about

  • Activation problems including invalid codes and failure to connect in some regions, Russia named specifically
  • A reply that took a day to arrive
  • A billing complaint about being charged twice

Check before you buy

  • The about page promises a refund for a plan that never activated or a change of mind, but the Terms of Use say installed or data consumed eSIMs are not refundable and device incompatibility is explicitly excluded, go by the Terms
  • Most plans start their validity clock on first network attach, not purchase, but a few need a specific start date chosen upfront, check before buying if you want a buffer
  • An eSIM profile binds to one device on activation and cannot be moved; two devices means two plans
  • No KYC is collected at checkout, so do not assume that covers a destination with its own legal ID requirement

Questions

Telekonek eSIM FAQ

What people ask before they buy a Telekonek eSIM, answered from live data

Is Telekonek legit?

Telekonek is a real seller with 23723 live plans in our catalogue covering 203 countries, and every one of those prices is checked again at each catalogue refresh. 98% of those plans were checked against Telekonek's own shop on 16 October 2026, so the prices here are the ones a buyer sees. Trustpilot shows 3.8 out of 5 from 17 reviews, collected independently of us. Our own rating of 3.5 out of 5 is computed from prices and coverage and cannot be bought.

How much does a Telekonek eSIM cost?

Telekonek plans run from $2.50 to $996.50. Ranked by real price per GB the best rate is 50 GB for 20 Days at $18.00, which is $0.36 per GB. Across the whole catalogue the median is $4.70 per GB against a market median of $2.83, so a typical Telekonek plan is dearer than the market.

Does Telekonek have a discount code?

Yes. ESIMWATCHDOG: 5% off at Telekonek checkout We tested it at Telekonek's own checkout before listing it, and using it never changes where Telekonek ranks on this site.

Which countries does Telekonek cover?

203 countries in our catalogue. The cheapest Telekonek destinations by price per GB right now are Austria ($0.36), Belgium ($0.36), Bulgaria ($0.36). Every country in the table on this page links to its full comparison, where Telekonek is ranked against every other provider we track.

Can I use a Telekonek eSIM as a hotspot?

Personal hotspot and USB tethering are unrestricted on all plans, per their own FAQ.

Does Telekonek sell unlimited data plans?

133 of its 23723 plans are sold as unlimited. In practice they are fair use plans: full speed up to a daily allowance, then slower. That is why they carry no price per GB in our tables.

How do I install a Telekonek eSIM?

Scan the QR from Settings, Cellular, Add eSIM (or Network, SIMs, Add eSIM on Android), then toggle the line on once you land. Can be installed on home WiFi ahead of the trip. Buy the plan online, scan the QR code on wifi before you fly, and leave the new line switched off until you land. Then turn on data roaming for the Telekonek line and give it a minute to attach to a network. If the code will not install, our guide to eSIM QR code errors covers every message a phone can show.
